  Swim Team
Monday, June 1st, 2009
Lauren and Lisa joined the swim team this summer. They had alot of fun and did suprizing well bringing home ribbons from each of the meets they competed in. The 100 meter medley is the one event where then must swim 4 laps instead of the usualy one lap. Their coach asked who wanted to try, and since it was Lauren and Lisa's first time on the team, they didn't know any better and volenteered to swim those grueling events. We hardly expected them to be able to complete those long races, let alone do well in them.

  GoKarting in the Mud!
Sunday, August 24th, 2008
Lisa raced her GoKart around the church parking lot, with Daddy in the passenger seat. She decided to take the (gravel) fire-road behind the church and then into the fields. The fields are normally dry, but today there was just enough water to make it a muddy ride. Lisa just couldn't stop laughing as she drove through the puddles spraying water and mud up everywhere. She even managed to pull a donut spin in the middle of the field. How many 7 year old girls can do that?

The bank ran actually out of money so we had to use real one dollar bills to represent a million dollars.

It was great fun.

  Driveway Extension
Friday, April 4th, 2008
The kids came home from school to find 6 tons of gravel sitting in the driveway and quickly decided that it was a great mountain to play on. A truck had delivered it just before they got home. We were extending our driveway to make more room to park the car, and dug out a section beside the driveway to fill with gravel. Unfortunately, we didn't get it completely dug out by the time the truck arrived, and the truck was too big to manouver into the space, so the gravel was dumped there. The project turned out to be much more work that we planned.
